笔墨丹青·珍爱和平——国际和平艺术推选人物张桂馨

张桂馨,男,1936年出生于河北省滦南县,青年时期到天津市参加工作于 1956 年加入中国共产党。原任天津市教育卫生委员会副主任、天津市卫生局副局长,至1997年退休。

现为天津市书法家会员、首都书画院会员、央广文旅国际合作发展中心副理事长、央广国际文化交流艺术委员会委员。本人自幼喜爱中国传统文化的书法艺术,曾是天津大书法家吴玉如的再传弟子。盛年时工作繁忙无暇笔翰,只好将爱好深藏心底,及至退休后方才重整笔墨,常以兰亭,书谱,自叙等法帖为范本,苦心钻研近三十余年,孜孜不倦,时时用功,书艺日进。近年来在全国书法大赛中多次获奖和荣获荣誉称号。

最近在中国书画家韩国丽水世博园国际交流展中获金奖,授予中国书画名家和“中韩文化大使”称号。

数十件作品被编入书画集,如《中国书画七十年年鉴》,《中国历史五体书法类大系》,《中国楷书大集》和《中国行书选集》。先后出版两册书法集2021年被国际文化交流中心等单位评为“国宝级艺术大师”称号。

近期其作品在央媒文化,华人头条,香港卫视网,环球收藏等各大媒体进行了报道。

2024年与中国书法家协会主席孙晓云共同出版了一册书法选集,作为学习正统书法艺术的范本,其中作品智永的草书《兰亭集序》被录入国宝档案存档。

2024年6月,经全国高级艺术职称评审委员会评定为“人民艺术家“国家高级书法师”。

Zhang Guixin, born in 1936 in Luan County, Hebei Province, joined the workforce in Tianjin as a young man and became a member of the Chinese Communist Party in 1956. On the Party’s 100th anniversary, he was awarded a medal for over 50 years of Party membership. He previously held positions as Deputy Director of the Tianjin Municipal Education and Health Commission and Deputy Director of the Tianjin Municipal Health Bureau, retiring in 1997.

He is currently a member of the Tianjin Calligraphers Association, the Capital Calligraphy and Painting Academy, Vice Chairman of the China Radio International Cultural Tourism International Cooperation Development Center, and a member of the China Radio International Cultural Exchange Arts Committee. Zhang has had a lifelong passion for traditional Chinese calligraphy and was a student of the famous Tianjin calligrapher Wu Yurou. During his busy career, he could not fully pursue his passion, but after retirement, he devoted himself to calligraphy, focusing on classic works such as the Lanting Preface, Shupu, and Self-Narration, which he has diligently studied for over 30 years. His skills have steadily improved, and he has won numerous awards in national calligraphy competitions in recent years.

Recently, Zhang won a gold medal at the China-Korea International Exchange Exhibition held at the Yeosu Expo in South Korea, earning the titles of “Famous Chinese Calligrapher and Painter” and “China-Korea Cultural Ambassador.” He also won gold medals at the “National Treasure” event commemorating the 100th anniversary of Qi Gong’s birth, the National Senior Calligraphy and Painting Competition, and the Year of the Dragon Calligraphy and Painting Competition. In the calligraphy event celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, his work was awarded a gold medal, and he was recognized as a “Meritorious Calligrapher of the Republic,” receiving a medal for his contributions.

Over the years, dozens of Zhang’s works have been included in various collections, such as The Seventy-Year Almanac of Chinese Calligraphy and Painting, The Great Series of Five Styles of Chinese Calligraphy, The Great Collection of Chinese Regular Script, and The Selected Works of Chinese Running Script. He has published two personal calligraphy collections and was named a “National Treasure-Level Master Artist” by the International Cultural Exchange Center in 2021.

Recently, his works have been featured in major media outlets such as China Media Culture, Huaren Headlines, Hong Kong Satellite TV, and Global Collections. In 2024, he co-published a calligraphy collection with Sun Xiaoyun, Chairman of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, serving as a model for studying orthodox calligraphy. His work, Zhiyong’s cursive script version of the Lanting Preface, was archived as a national treasure. In April 2024, he was appointed Cultural Advisor for the 16th Cross-Strait Cultural Forum and co-published a calligraphy collection with former Taiwanese leader Ma Ying-jeou.

In June 2024, Zhang was recognized by the National Senior Art Titles Evaluation Committee as a “People’s Artist” and “National Senior Calligrapher.”
